TCI-CONCOR aims to encourage sports in the country and the opportunities to harness the power of sports through its cross cutting influence, namely holistic development of children and youth community. The Company contributes its CSR in nationally recognized Olympic sports promotion in India by investing in TCI Foundation managed Urmila Sports Academy. The academy has been established in a village Nyangal Bari, Tehsil Rajgarh, District Churu in Rajasthan to infuse sports culture and achieve sporting excellence.
The Urmila Sports Academy houses modern, centrally air-conditioned international standard training facilities for both budding and elite athletes of the country. The academy is equipped with trained qualified coaches; and provides all amenities in the campus including men & women hostels and staff housing.
The academy is duly affiliated with the Rajasthan State Government, Khelo India, Sports Authority of India Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to impart training to budding and leading athletes in the sports of wrestling, weightlifting and boxing. In the previous years the academy has produced best talented female weightlifters, represented India and won medals in Asian Youth Weightlifting Championship 2020 held in Uzbekistan.

Empowering women is crucial for sustainable development and reducing poverty. TCI Foundation’s initiative ‘Anokhee’ provides affordable sanitary napkins to rural women, and we pride ourselves on promoting digital inclusion, driving holistic growth in social communities by offering vocational training, creating job opportunities, and enhancing women’s economic and social status in rural India.
TCI’s upskilling initiatives include training women professionals in logistics at TCI Institute of Logistics, offering computer education and training to underprivileged youth in partnership with NIIT Foundation, and setting up skill development centres to bridge the gap in skilled manpower.
Under the ‘Shourya’ initiative, the Urmila Sports Academy in Rajasthan promotes Indian talent in wrestling, weightlifting, and boxing. Affiliated with state and national sports bodies, the academy has produced female weightlifters who have won medals at international championships, nurturing athletes to fulfil their dreams.
TCI focuses on developing schools in remote areas to educate young minds and nurture future leaders. Our initiatives like the Transystem Educational Grant-in-Aid and TCI DAV Public School in Jharkhand provide access to quality education, sports, and digital literacy, for all-round development in tribal communities.
We collaborate with various stakeholders to provide resources for enhancing the health of our drivers with Khushi clinics and rehabilitation centres. Project ‘Kavach’ focuses on preventive healthcare, particularly the spread of HIV/AIDS and STIs among truckers, with 28 healthcare centres that have served 1.4+ million patients to date. Additionally, initiatives like ‘Project GUARD’ have administered the COVID-19 vaccination to 1.7+ million people in 105 far-flung districts.
TCI’s Safe Safar campaign aims to drive road safety awareness, uplift the driver community, and promote ESG practices, with astounding numbers of 1+ million participants, 34000 pledges taken over 42000+ km of road covered, and more. Through initiatives like Nukkad Nataks, the campaign educates drivers on environmental consciousness, including avoiding single-use plastic and adopting digital solutions. TCI’s efforts have garnered recognition, including awards such as the James Tye Award and FICCI Road Safety Awards, highlighting its impact on promoting road safety.
TCI Foundation, supported by leading prosthetic manufacturer ‘Jaipur Foot’, established ‘TCI Jaipur Foot & Rehabilitation Centre’ in Patna. The centre operates on the UN theme of ‘Break Barriers, Open Doors’. Since FY 2007-08, the centre has provided free clinical examination, prosthesis, and physical aids to underprivileged differently-abled individuals in the country. Equipped with a mobile prosthesis workshop in a specially designed ambulance, the centre reaches out to inaccessible areas to deliver charitable services at the doorstep of those in need.
